1. Introduction

Finiin ("Finiin," "we," "us," or "our") provides a food ordering and delivery platform for customers, restaurant partners, and delivery drivers through the Finiin website (finiin.com), the Finiin customer mobile app, the Finiin Driver mobile app, and partner dashboards.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using Finiin, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, information generated when you use our services, and information from trusted service providers that help us operate the platform.

  • Account information: name, email address, phone number, and password credentials.
  • Customer information: delivery addresses, order history, cart and checkout details, profile photo (optional), ratings, tips, and support messages.
  • Payment information: payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers. Stripe provides us with payment status, customer identifiers, and related transaction metadata.
  • Driver information: home address, date of birth, driver license details, vehicle information, license plate details, insurance information, profile and document photos (such as license, plate, and insurance images), payout setup through Stripe, delivery history, earnings, ratings, and online/offline status.
  • Restaurant partner information: business name, contact details, menu and order data, staff login credentials, and delivery preferences.
  • Location information: customers may share location to calculate delivery distance and improve address entry. Drivers share live location during active deliveries so customers can track orders and so we can coordinate delivery.
  • Device and usage information: app interactions, log data, IP address, browser or device type, and diagnostic information used to maintain security and improve performance.
  • Communications: messages you send to support and SMS messages sent for delivery coordination (for example, restaurant delivery driver handoff links).
  • Background screening (drivers): with driver consent, we use Checkr or similar providers to conduct background checks required for driver eligibility.

3. How we use information

  • Create and manage your account and authenticate sign-in.
  • Process orders, payments, refunds, and delivery coordination.
  • Display order status, estimated times, driver tracking, and handoff PIN verification.
  • Enable restaurants to receive, confirm, and fulfill orders.
  • Enable drivers to accept jobs, navigate pickups and drop-offs, and receive payouts.
  • Verify driver identity, eligibility, documents, and background check status.
  • Send service-related notifications such as order updates and delivery links.
  • Provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
  • Maintain platform safety, prevent fraud, and enforce our policies.
  • Improve Finiin features, reliability, and user experience.
  • Comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to operate Finiin:

  • Restaurants receive order details needed to prepare food (items, customer name, pickup or delivery context, and relevant contact information).
  • Drivers receive information needed to complete a delivery (restaurant address, customer delivery address, order identifiers, and handoff details).
  • Customers may see limited driver information during an active delivery (such as name and vehicle-related details needed for identification).
  • Service providers that help us run Finiin, including hosting and database providers (such as Supabase), payment processing (Stripe), background screening (Checkr), maps and navigation (such as Mapbox), and SMS delivery (such as Twilio). These providers process data under contractual obligations.
  • Law enforcement, regulators, or other parties when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
  • Business transfers if Finiin is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to continued protection of your information.

5. Location data

Finiin Driver requests location permission while the app is in use during active deliveries. Location is used for navigation, live order tracking, and delivery coordination. We do not use driver location for unrelated advertising purposes.

Customers may choose to use device location to assist with address entry and delivery estimates. You can also enter addresses manually.

6. Payments

Customer payments and driver payouts are handled by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. Stripe's handling of payment data is governed by Stripe's privacy policy and terms. We receive confirmation and metadata needed to complete orders and driver earnings, not full payment card numbers.

7. Data retention

We retain information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Order, payment, and delivery records may be retained for accounting, tax, and legal compliance purposes.

8. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of your personal information.

  • Update account details in the Finiin app or partner dashboard where available.
  • Manage location permissions in your device settings.
  • Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information, subject to legal and operational requirements. Finiin customers can use https://finiin.com/delete-account.
  • You may opt out of non-essential marketing messages by contacting support.

10. Children's privacy

Finiin is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Drivers must be at least 18 years old. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date below. Continued use of Finiin after changes become effective means you accept the updated policy.
